Nimble MCP lets Claude and ChatGPT write meeting notes and follow-ups into a team's CRM after asking first.
Marketing · OperationsNimble released Nimble MCP on October 13, 2026, a connector that lets Claude and ChatGPT read and update a team's Nimble CRM (press release). It turns a meeting recap into notes, tasks, reminders and the next meeting, and it finds and merges duplicate contacts (press release). Nimble says early users made more than 15,000 requests in the first three weeks (press release).
The connector is included in every Nimble plan at no extra cost, and plans start at $24.90 per seat per month, billed annually (press release, October 13, 2026). It works with Claude on any plan, including Free, and with ChatGPT Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu (press release). Nimble says setup takes about two minutes and ships 82 ready-made prompts (press release).
A CRM goes stale in the gap between a meeting and the note nobody writes. Small teams without an operations person feel that gap most, and Nimble names founders, agencies and consultants as the audience (press release). Using it in production will require one owner per contact record, a rule for which system holds customer history, and a person approving every write.
A connector that asks before it writes
Nimble MCP is built on the Model Context Protocol, the open standard for connecting models to tools (press release). It can find recaps from Fireflies, Otter or Fathom in the user's Nimble mailbox, or take a pasted transcript (press release). Before a meeting, it returns the history with a contact, open tasks, deal stage and who on the team knows them best (press release).
Nimble says the connector asks before changing anything, checks for duplicates before creating a contact, and adds to records rather than overwriting them (press release). It follows each user's existing permissions, drafts email without sending it, and leaves won and lost to people (press release). This is the same pattern as a junior coordinator who prepares the update and waits for a signature.
The CRM as a feeder to the domain vault
Where a team already keeps a vault per domain, the CRM stays the system of record for relationships, and the vault keeps the rules and history around them.
Marketing
Account managers and marketers lose context between the sales call and the campaign brief. After each meeting, the same approved recap can go into Nimble and into the marketing vault, beside campaign results and brand rules. The campaign dashboard then reads one customer history instead of two. Teams already on HubSpot or Salesforce with their own connectors gain nothing new here, and should not add Nimble as a second contact list.
Operations
Customer promises, such as a delivery date or a sample request, often live only in a call recap. Write those promises as tasks with an owner and a due date, and mirror them into the operations vault where planners already work. Personal follow-through belongs in the same flow. Grok Bot's Chief of Staff use case reviews inbox, calendar and meeting notes and returns what needs attention, without sending messages or changing meetings (docs). A weekday routine can run it before the first meeting (docs), so each person's commitments sit next to the business record.
A rollout that starts with one week of meetings
Each step proves the connector on real recaps before it writes on its own.
- Decide which system owns each field: contact and deal in Nimble, rules and campaign history in the vault.
- Connect Nimble MCP for two people, using their existing Nimble permissions.
- Log one week of meetings through the connector, approving every change.
- Compare the logged notes and tasks with the recaps, and record every miss.
- Run the duplicate check on a copy of the contact list, and review each proposed merge.
- Add the approved recap to the domain vault through the same request.
- Extend to the team once a week of recaps passes without correction.
What the release does not settle
- The figures and safeguards come from Nimble's own release (press release). No independent documentation was reviewed.
- Writing the same recap to Nimble and to a vault can create two records that drift apart. One owner per field prevents it.
- Recaps from notetakers carry the notetaker's errors into the CRM.
- Grok Bot routines are limited to 50 per Bot, and deleting a routine cannot be undone (docs).
The CRM has been falling behind because notes were a separate job after every meeting. The steps above give each field one owner, prove the connector on a week of approved recaps, and feed the same history into the vault the team already reads. For setup and prompts, see Nimble's announcement.
